SARAH CAROLYN SUTTON, RLA, MH, CNHP

Landscape Architect, Master Herbalist, Author, Artist

Sarah combines her many skills and talents to bring a unique perspective to the design of personal garden spaces. A believer in the healing power of nature, Sarah shows her clients how to grow, harvest and use herbs and edibles from their own gardens as well as how to design, build and maintain them. Her classes, lectures, workshops, books, articles, design services and coaching all emphasize a holistic approach that nurtures the soil organically, sequesters carbon, conserves water, and attracts wildlife, including birds, beneficial insects and pollinators. She views the homeowner’s garden as their personal healing sanctuary; a place to restore and refresh the body and soul.

Sarah is also the author of the award-winning book, The New American Front Yard: Kiss Your Grass Goodbye! which takes the reader step-by-step through the process of transforming a typical front yard to a beautiful, low-maintenance garden with eye-catching curb-appeal. Her services include in-person and virtual design assistance, from full project design to individual coaching on individual topics, such as plant selection for a specific use or interest.
